The Road To The Republic 2
Description
You are standing on the hallowed ground of the 57th Regiment—the unit that changed the course of history at the most critical moment of the Gallipoli Land Campaign with Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Kemal’s command: “I do not order you to attack; I order you to die!” Through the heroism it displayed during the most pivotal moments of the Gallipoli Campaign, the 57th Regiment became a symbol of the Turkish nation’s struggle for independence. The sacrifices made by this regiment—which gave its lives in defense of the homeland under the command of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—have been etched in history in letters of gold.
