Şahindere Martyrs' Cemetery is one of the verified burial sites of the fallen. Due to its location near the front line—shielded from enemy fire and featuring trees and a water source—it served as a dressing station (a field hospital behind the lines) during the battles of 1915. It has been determined that 2,177 soldiers lost their lives here while undergoing treatment. The triangular, conical monument rising from a crescent and star symbolizes the ascension of our martyrs to the heavens. Our martyrs are commemorated at the site by 132 *kabalak*-shaped stones placed on the ground.
