Photography is not merely about pressing the shutter; it is about putting in the effort, enduring fatigue, and refusing to give up. With just five kilometers left to reach Maden Village in Şavşat, the road was completely blocked by heavy snow. Yet, we did not abandon our dream of photographing this unique village amidst the snowfall. When we reached the hillside facing the village at the first light of dawn, all our fatigue vanished. The wooden houses nestled in the snow, the snow-capped mountains, the trees rising silently, and the cloud-veiled sky created an unforgettable vista. One of the most cherished moments of this beautiful journey was the warm hospitality of my dear friend, Recep Ali. He gave us a place to rest, warmed us up, and helped us regain our strength. Then, we hit the road again and once more pressed the shutter… Challenging roads never daunted us. We know that the most beautiful photographs are born from journeys marked by patience, effort, and friendship.
